At present, the treatment of acute ischemic
stroke (AIS) is with intravenous tissue plasminogen
activator (IV tPA) and mechanical thrombectomy
(MT) is classified in the treatment guidelines for AIS.
However, it was found that the administration of IV
tPA has the potential to cause blood clot to move
to the distal vessel.
